How would the fate of Russia be in the event of the victory of the Decembrists?

The Decembrists were not a single whole. Many of them held sometimes opposite opinions and views. Someone sought to adopt the Constitution, someone sought to establish republican power. Others just wanted to leave the monarch and significantly limit his rights. Moreover, all the Decembrists were nobles. And they didn’t really want to listen to the people, believing that they know better what and who needs it. Most likely, in the event of the victory of the Decembrists in Russia, a civil war would begin similar to the one that was in France in the 1789-90s. At the same time, the peasants would not have received liberation and an easy life – no one took their hopes and desires into account, going against the emperor.
