In water, under the influence of low temperature, the state of aggregation changed from liquid to solid with the release of energy, because the average kinetic energy of molecules has decreased. At low temperatures, water molecules formed ice crystals (crystal lattice), and water lost its liquid properties (fluidity, slight shape change) and acquired the properties of a solid (strength, shape retention).
