If more complex eyes are artificially grown on a white planaria, will it be able to see?

The eye is a part of the visual analyzer, which includes the perceiving department (cones and rods in the retina), the conducting department (optic nerve) and directly analyzing – the parts of the occipital cortex of the final brain. This system is similar to a DSLR camera: the matrix, on which the light falls, captures it; light “prints” on the matrix are transferred to the electronic filling, and now it forms a digital image on the screen. If the “hardware” of the camera is weak, then it is impossible to get a clear picture without flaws! It’s the same with living organisms. Complex eyes alone are not enough – you need to improve both the conducting nerves and the central nervous system.
