If the Pope had not called for the crusades, would they have taken place or not?

Before the crusade, many nobles began to grow poorer. The way to get rich quickly could be the seizure of the eastern lands. The situation was gradually heating up. Therefore, I believe that the campaigns were inevitable. In addition, if there were a campaign, then the turnover of weapons would increase, and hence the trade in them. The Pope only made a kind of “push”, uniting everyone in front of a divine goal.

In fairness, I will say that there is a second opinion on this issue. It says that the Pope had supreme power in Europe, therefore, without his instructions, the campaigns would not have begun.
