| In a rectangular trapezoid, the sides at the base are 2 cm and 5 cm. Find the side of the trapezoid if the base, equal to 2 cm, is equal to its height, and the perimeter is 13 cm
The perimeter of a trapezoid is equal to the sum of all its sides:
P = a + b + c + d = 13 cm;
a = b = 2 cm;
s = 5 cm;
Find the unknown side d:
a + b + c + d = 13;
2 + 2 + 5 + d = 13;
9 + d = 13;
d = 13-9;
d = 4 cm – unknown lateral side of the trapezoid.
