Find the outer angle CBD if the angle C is 50 °.
1) The sum of all the angles of the triangle is 180 °, then we find the angle A and angle B.
Since angle A and angle B are equal, then:
Angle A + angle B + angle C = 180 °;
2 * angle B + 50 ° = 180 °;
2 * angle B = 180 ° – 50 °;
2 * angle B = 130 °;
Angle B = 130 ° / 2 = 65 °;
2) Since the inner angle of the triangle is already known, then the outer angle CBD can be found.
Angle CBD = 180 ° – angle B = 180 ° – 65 ° = 100 ° + 80 ° – 65 ° = 100 ° + 15 ° = 115 °;
