In a triangle, one side is 12 cm, the other is 115% of the first, and the perimeter is 300% of the first. Find the unknown side of the triangle.

Find what is the length of the second side of this triangle.

In the condition of the problem it is said that the length of the first side of this triangle is 12 cm, and the second side is 115% of the first side, therefore, the length of the second side of this triangle is:

12 * 115/100 = 1380/100 = 13.8 cm.

Find the perimeter of this triangle.

In the condition of the problem it is said that the perimeter of this triangle is equal to 300% of the length of its first side, therefore, the perimeter of this triangle is:

12 * 300/100 = 12 * 3 = 36 cm.

Let’s find what is the length of the third side of this triangle:

36 – 12 – 13.8 = 24 – 13.8 = 10.2 cm.
