In a uniform magnetic field with an induction of 2 T, a closed loop with an area of 0.4 m squared is located so that the plane of the loop is parallel to the lines of magnetic induction. Find in SI the current strength in the counter, if from the side of the magnetic field a moment of forces acts on the frame, equal to 2 N point in the heart of M.

To calculate the value of the current in the taken closed loop, we apply the formula: M = I * B * S * sinα, whence we express: I = M / (B * S * sinα).

Variables: M – moment of forces (M = 2 N * m); B – field induction (B = 2 T); S – closed loop area (S = 0.4 m2); α is the angle between the field line of force and the normal to the plane of the taken contour (α = 90º).

Calculation: I = M / (B * S * sinα) = 2 / (2 * 0.4 * sin 90º) = 2.5 A.

Answer: The current in the taken closed loop is 2.5 A.
