The perimeter of a triangle is equal to the sum of all its sides. Since the triangle is isosceles, its sides are equal:
then BC = AC = 1.3 m;
P = AB + BC + AC = AB + 2 BC;
Base of triangle:
AB = P – 2 BC = 3.4 – 2 * 1.3 = 3.4 – 2.6 = 0.8 (m);
Answer: AB = 0.8 m; AC = BC = 1.3 m.
