In one circuit, 300 Kl of electricity passed through the cross-section of the conductor in 5 minutes, in the other – in 10 minutes. In which of them is the current stronger and how many times?

Data: q (amount of electricity passed through the cross-section of the conductors) = 300 C; t1 (time of passage of electricity through the first conductor) = 5 min (300 s); t2 (time of passage of electricity through the second conductor) = 10 min (600 s).

1) Current in the first conductor: I1 = q / t1 = 300/300 = 1 A.

2) Current in the second conductor: I2 = q / t2 = 300/600 = 0.5 A,

3) The ratio of the current in the conductors: k = I1 / I2 = 1 / 0.5 = 2 times.

Answer: In the first conductor, the current strength is 2 times greater.
