Parallelogram side CD = 12; DH – height.

Height is the perpendicular to the side of the parallelogram.

So triangle CDH is right-angled.

In it, CD is the hypotenuse, DH is the leg, which lies opposite the angle of 30 °, it is equal to half the hypotenuse:

DH = 1/2 CD = 1/2 * 12 = 6.
