This is Lake Eyre. The largest Australian lake (9500 sq. Km. Area). Located in the desert in the north of South Australia. It owes its name to the Englishman Edward John Eyre, he was the first to discover this unique lake (1840)
As a rule, during the rains, Lake Eyre quickly fills with water; during heavy rains, small floods even occur on it. But in a drought, shallow water bodies are formed on the site of the lake, and a crust of salt in the dry areas. Despite the difficulties, there is a yacht club on the lake.
