In triangle ABC, medians AD, BE, CF are drawn. The lengths of the segments AF, AE and BD are 3cm, 4cm and 5cm, respectively. Calculate the perimeter of the triangle.

The median divides the opposite side in half.

Since CF is the median, AF = FB = 3 cm; AB = 2 * 3 = 6cm;

BE-median, AE = EC = 4 cm; AC = 2 * 4 = 8 cm;

AD – median, BD = DC = 5 cm;

BC = 2 * 5 = 10 cm;

To find out the perimeter, add up the lengths of all its sides:

P = AB + BC + AC = 6 + 8 + 10 = 24 (cm).
