In triangle ABC, the length of side AB is 5 centimeters, country BC is 8cm longer than side AB, and the length of side AC is less than the sum of the lengths of sides AB and BC by 6cm. Find the perimeter of the triangle.

1) We find out how long the BC side has, if it is known that it is 8 cm longer than the AB side, and the length of the AB side is 5 cm.

5 + 8 = 13 cm.

2) We find out the sum of the lengths of the sides AB and BC, if it is known that the side AB is 5 cm long, and BC has a length of 13 cm.

13 + 5 = 18 cm.

3) Let us find out what is the length of the AC side, if it is known that it is 6 cm less than the sum of the lengths of the AB and BC sides.

18 – 6 = 12 cm.

4) Let’s find out what perimeter the triangle ABc has, if we know all the lengths of the sides.

18 + 12 = 30 cm.

Answer: the perimeter of triangle ABC was 30 cm.
