In triangle ADC side AB = 4 cm. BC = 7cm. AC = 6cm, and in a triangle MK = 8cm, MN = 12cm. KN = 14cm. Find the angles of the triangle MNK if the angle A = 80 degrees, the angle B = 60 degrees.
Let’s find the ratio of the sides of triangles ABC and OLS.
AB / MK = 4/8 = 1/2.
BC / NK = 7/14 = 1/2.
AC / MH = 6/12 = 1/2.
Since the ratio of the lengths of the triangles are equal, the triangles ABC and OLS are similar in three proportional sides.
Then the angle MKN = ABC = 60, the angle KMN = BAC = 80, the angle KNM = (180 – 60 – 80) = 40.
