In what century did the war between Russia and the army of Napoleon Bonaparte take place?

The war between Russia and Napoleon’s army is known as the Patriotic War of 1812. Accordingly, it took place at the beginning of the nineteenth century. At the first stage of the war – until the autumn of 1812 – the Russian army retreated, right up to Moscow, and from October it went on the offensive. The war ended in 1913 with the almost complete destruction of the Napoleonic army. The main reason for the defeat of Napoleon’s army is considered the popular participation and heroism of the Russian army, as well as the unpreparedness of the French for military operations in large areas and in the climatic conditions of Russia.
