In what century was printing invented?

Typography was invented in the 3rd century in China. At first it looked like a piece-printing technique (textile print). Later there was woodcut – woodcut. The first printed engravings appeared earlier than books at the beginning of the 3rd century, during the reign of the Han dynasty in China. Also at this time, the technique of three-color printing on paper appeared. The printed book, created by the woodcut method, appears in 868. These were texts on a religious theme. The Chinese master Bi Shin (990-1051) created a movable font, this is when you can first type a certain text, and after printing all copies, scatter and reuse in other combinations.
