| The geographical location of Australia encompasses three climatic zones at once. In the northern part of the mainland – subequatorial, which is characterized by high temperatures and high rainfall; in the south – subtropical, which is characterized by a predominance of positive temperatures with a significant difference in the amount of precipitation. And between them is located the tropical climatic zone, which occupies the largest area of the mainland, in which the continental and marine zones are distinguished. In the continental climatic region, humid and dry weather prevails, and in the maritime climate feature is a slight fluctuation in temperature and an even distribution of precipitation.
