In what conditions do pines and spruces grow?

Pine can grow in almost any conditions. For example, in an arid sandy area, next to moss bogs, on granite rocks. The main condition for pine growth is a sufficient amount of sunlight. The height of the tree depends on the conditions in which it is located. Spruce cannot live without moisture, unlike pine trees. These plants prefer mossy soil. The branches and trunks of trees are entangled in lichens. The closer to the south the spruce tree grows, the higher it will be.
