In what conditions on Earth could land plants arise?

The emergence of land plants took a lot of time and the presence of specific conditions on land. It took hundreds of millions of years for plants to emerge from the water. There should have been oxygen and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Also, there had to be a foundation on which land plants could gain a foothold. When the plants came to the surface, they began to receive adaptations for living on the surface. It is a root for absorbing water, flowers for propagation, and many other survival adaptations.
