In what directions did the economic reform in the USSR unfold in 1985-1991?

In 1985, the head of the country changed. M. Gorbachev created a plan for economic and political transformations for the USSR. The main goal of the reforms was economic development. During this period, it was planned to develop a scientific and technical base and introduce new equipment into the economy. It was also required to introduce elements of a market economy in a socialist country. Enterprises producing peaceful products and the emergence of a competitive production process were supported. In the sphere of social structure, publicity was introduced and censorship was softened.
