In what environment does an organism live, can it be determined by its characteristics?

You can easily and fairly accurately determine the habitat of a particular organism by its structural features. For example: the presence of fins indicates an aquatic habitat. Thick fur and body fat indicate that the animal lives in cold areas. The same goes for other kingdoms: plants, fungi, bacteria, protists, and others. All organisms have specific adaptations to survive in a particular environment. These adaptations appeared and were fixed in each species millions and billions of years ago.
