In what environments can bacteria be found? Describe the conditions in which they can live.

Bacteria are the oldest organisms, for several billion years they were the only organisms on our planet. In terms of their structural features and great diversity, bacteria have occupied an entire kingdom. Bacteria have taken over all possible existing environments. These organisms can be found everywhere: in the purest water, in the sands of deserts, on the deepest bottom of the ocean, on rocks, in polar snows, on plants, in soil, in the body of animals and humans, etc. They are very hardy and are able to survive in the wildest conditions. In favorable conditions, bacteria multiply and grow rapidly. In unfavorable spores they form (the cell membrane thickens, vital processes slow down), in the form of which they can be for millennia until favorable conditions for their life appear.
