In what forms was the population’s protest against the policies of the rulers expressed?

The forms of public protest against government policies are non-violent and violent. Nonviolent forms include: rally, boycott, protest march, flash mob, strike, hunger strike, picket, obstruction (“working by the rules” – the unswervingly strict fulfillment by employees of their duties and rights, regardless of the situation and circumstances). Violent forms of protest include: riot, uprising, seizure of administrative buildings, revolution, terror. As a rule, the protests of the population begin with non-violent measures, if they were not effective, they move to violent forms. But lately, civilized society has been trying not to avoid and prevent violent actions.
