The tallest peoples of Africa – Tutsi and Masai, lived in the savannas of northern Africa. The Tutsis were nomadic pastoralists and from the 16th century they moved to the central part of Africa, mainly to the savannahs and plateaus. The Masai, also pastoralists leading a semi-nomadic lifestyle, in the XIV century migrated to the central part of Africa, also to the savannahs. Their growth is on average 2 meters, the number is about 2 million.
