Everyone knows very well that plants not only produce organic matter, but also oxygen, taking carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. This process has been called photosynthesis. It occurs under the influence of sunlight in plants with certain plastids – chloroplasts. Chloroplasts contain chlorophyll, which makes photosynthesis possible. This process can be carried out in all green parts of the plant. In addition to leaves, the production of organic matter and oxygen is produced by the stem, fruits and calyxes.
