In what part of Eurasia did the Eastern Slavs live?

We can learn about where the Eastern Slavs lived in antiquity from Byzantine sources. They lived in Central and Eastern Europe. They inhabited mainly forests and fields on the lands of modern Ukraine. They also lived in the region of modern Belarus and in the regions of Pskov, Mogilev, Tver, etc. They were mainly engaged in agriculture, defended themselves from the tribes of the Scythians and Huns. They worshiped pagan gods, the religion was based on various natural phenomena. The Slavic tribes had similar customs, language and laws.
