In what part of the world is the ancestral home of mankind located?

At the moment, the scientific world considers the eastern part of Africa to be the ancestral home of mankind. It is in these places that the remains of the erect ancestor of modern man, Australopithecus, have been found in the past few decades. In the north of Ethiopia, both whole skeletons and fragments of the skeletal system of a person who lived about 4-5 million years ago were found. These artifacts indicate that in many respects our ancient ancestors physically differed little from ourselves. The skull was slightly larger, and the teeth were identical to those of modern humans. Also in these places are found ancient tools dating back more than 1 million years. Remains of an ancient hearth have also been found. All this suggests that only about 1 million years ago, people began to explore new places, leaving the territory of East Africa.
