In what parts of the world was the Roman Empire located?

It was located in Europe, Asia and North Africa. At first, Rome was a small state on the territory of the Apennine Peninsula, but gradually its power grew. Soon all of Italy was conquered. In the 3rd-2nd century BC, Rome managed to defeat Carthage, and thus turn into the most powerful state in the Mediterranean. This gave a great impetus to the development of the republic. After that, Rome began to wage methodical wars and conquer other lands, turning into an empire.
