In what phase do the doubled chromosomes line up along the cell’s equator?

Cell division is a rather complicated process. There are 4 stages of cell division. Each stage is based on the previous one and provides certain division processes. The nuclear envelope collapses during metaphase. Also, during this period, chromosomes are aligned along the equator of the cell. Homologous chromosomes line up in pairs opposite each other. Also, in addition to these processes, metaphase includes the attachment of the spindle filament to each chromosome. One strand is used per chromosome.
