In what ways did Henry 4 achieve reconciliation between Catholics and Huguenots?

Henry 4 came to the throne in 1594. He came to power at the height of the religious wars in France. Henry 4 at first sought to suppress aggression from the Catholics, but the Huguenots showed the same atrocities in relation to the Catholic Church. The adherents of Catholicism were still more cruel, because they did not spare the Protestant representatives and did not consider their murder a sin. Religious wars were tempered after the Edict of Nantes was concluded between Catholics and Huguenots in 1598. Equal rights were proclaimed.
