In what year did the ancient Russian state emerge?

According to the famous “Tale of Bygone Years”, written by Nestor, the formation of the state of Russia is associated with the vocation of the Varangian Rurik by the Novgorodians to lead them. This happened in 862. Already after the arrival of the Varangians, who undertook to rule in several cities – Novgorod, Izborsk and Beloozero. After the death of Rurik, his son Igor was also raised by Oleg-Helga the Prophet, a comrade-in-arms of the Novgorod prince. In 882, Oleg approaches Kiev, and, deceiving his two co-rulers, captures the city. From then on, Kiev became the center of Russia.
