In which cells does mitosis and meiosis occur?

Most often, mitosis occurs in nature – the division of non-sex cells (nerve, epithelium, muscle, etc.), which takes place in four stages. Its main task is the uniform division of the genetic code of the mother cell between the daughter ones. Whereas meiosis is the division of germ cells, during which the chromosomes are halved and this process occurs in two stages.
