In which city did Lutheranism originate?

Lutheranism appeared in the German city of Wittenberg in 1517. The founder of this movement was the priest Martin Luther. He hung out at the entrance to the church 95 theses, in which he described his view of the church order. Only faith can save a person. Confessions, indulgences or worship of shrines will not save one from sins. The main authority in matters of faith was the Holy Scriptures. The church does not play an important role as a mediator between man and God. Also, Martin Luther opposed the magnificent ceremonies, the vow of celibacy. He translated the Bible into German.
