The total fertility rate (TFR) has the highest value in African countries. The following are the countries where a woman gives birth to more than 6 children in her lifetime (World Bank data for 2020):
1st place – Niger (TFR = 7.6)
2nd place – Somalia (TFR = 6.5)
3rd place – Mali (TFR = 6.2)
4th place – Chad (TFR = 6.1)
5th place – Angola (TFR = 6.1)
6th place – Democratic Republic of the Congo (TFR = 6)
