In which layer of the hydra’s body are nerve, stinging skin-muscle cells located?

The hydra’s nerve cells form a network throughout the body. They are located in the mesoglea – this is an intercellular substance that is located between the ectoderm (outer layer) and endoderm (inner layer). Stinging cells are located in the ectoderm, they serve for defense and attack. Musculocutaneous cells are located both in the ectoderm and in the endoderm, thanks to which the hydra can move.
