In which region of Asia was China located?

The Chinese civilization is one of the oldest in the world. It originally arose in the basin of the two great rivers of this country, the Yellow River and the Yangtze. They are located in East Asia. The formation of civilization began around the middle of the 2nd millennium BC. Gradually, this country began to expand southward and inland. Already in the second century BC. the state occupied a huge space from the Korea Peninsula to the Indochina Peninsula, i.e. occupied the whole of East and Southeast Asia. Today’s China also includes Central Asia.
