1. Most of the elements in the cell that are called organogenic (98%) – C, P, O and N. They are part of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, nucleic acids and water.

2. Next are the macronutrients, about 1.9%. These include Na, K, Ca, P, S, Cl, Fe, Mg.

3. From 0.01% to 0.1% – trace elements that are part of only one specific substance (F, I).
