Indicate the economic and political reasons for the crisis of the Roman Empire. How did the economic structure and social structure of Roman society and the rights of its citizens change?
Before the crisis, society became agrarian, land passed into the hands of large landowners, and small farms began to go bankrupt. Crafts and trade are also beginning to decline. Tax payments are reduced, and the cost of maintaining the army is growing, because it was necessary to protect the external borders of the state. Since there was hyperinflation due to the “spoilage of coins”, it was decided to collect taxes in kind. This made it possible to somewhat restore the commodity economy.
During this period, the strata of the working population approached the slaves in terms of the number of rights, became not so interested in the development of the craft, which led to its decline.
