Indicate the main difference between biennial herbs and annuals.

Biennial grasses live for two years. In the first year of life, a plant organ called a shoot develops from a seed, and root leaves and a root (pivotal) also grow. The next year, a flowering shoot appears. After flowering and fruiting, the plant dies.
Annual grasses die off immediately after they bloom and bear fruit, or after a season that lasts a short period of time.
The difference between these two groups is that biennials have leaves at the stem.
