Influence of types of interaction of species in a specific ecosystem.
There are several types of interactions between living organisms in an ecosystem. They are neutral, positive and negative.
The following types of interactions can be classified as positive: symbiosis, mutualism, protocooperation.
Symbiosis is a mutually beneficial existence, which presupposes the obligatory close cohabitation.
Mutualism is a type of relationship between organisms in which the presence of each of the species is mandatory for the other partner.
Protocooperation – coexistence has a positive effect on both organisms, but there is no compulsory coexistence.
Neutral relationship is considered neutralism – a form of relationship in which organisms do not harm each other, living in the same territory.
Negative relationships include:
Predation – one organism feeds on another (beneficial relationship);
Parasitism – with this form of relationship, organisms of one species actively use nutrients and tissues of another organism, thereby harming the latter.
Antibiosis – both organisms, living in the same territory, experience a negative impact.
