Iron filings were added to 160 kg of a 10% solution of copper sulfate (2). What mass of copper was released?

Equation: CuSO4 + Fe = FeSO4 + Cu.
There is no need to place the coefficients in this reaction.
1) According to the formula W = (mr.w / mr – pa) * 100%, we calculate the mass of the solute of copper sulfate: 160 * 10/100 = 16kg (16000g).
2) Find the amount of copper sulfate substance. For this, the mass of copper sulfate is divided by its molar mass: 16000 / (64 + 32 + 16 * 4) = 16000/160 = 100 mol.
3) The amount of copper sulfate substance is equal to the amount of copper substance and is equal to 100 mol.
4) The mass of copper is: 100 * 64 = 6400g = 6.4kg – the answer.
