Is it possible to assert that the history of the XIX century. – is this the story of the birth and development of an industrial society in the process of modernization? Why?

It can be argued that it was in the 19th century that an industrial society was mainly formed in several developed countries of Europe and in the United States. Great Britain has become a kind of flagship of industrialization. There was a railway boom, the metro appeared, the urban population grew, the country earned a reputation as the “factory of the world.”

The features of the industrial society were:

Prevailing industrial sector in the economy, replacing manual labor with machinery.
The share of the urban population is higher than the share of the rural population.
