Is it possible to determine the species based on one criterion?

This cannot be done. A species is the smallest structural unit of the organization of living organisms. Although it is the smallest unit, there are millions of species. Scientists count from several tens to several hundred million organisms on our planet. Therefore, one criterion can in no way determine the species. One criterion cannot even define life – the highest level of classification of organisms. Many inanimate objects have the characteristic features of living organisms. A few dozen criteria are often not enough to determine the species.
