| This statement is NOT TRUE!

A trapezoid is a quadrilateral in which only two sides are parallel and the sides are not equal.

The area of the trapezoid is equal to the product of the half-sum of its bases by the height:

S = (a + b) / 2 • h, where:

a, b – the base of the trapezoid;

h is the height of the trapezoid.

Also, the area of the trapezoid is equal to the product of its midline by the height:

S = m • h, where:

m is the middle line of the trapezoid;

h is the height of the trapezoid.
