Is the Civil War part of the US War of Independence?

The civil war happened already half a century after the final gaining of independence of the United States, its full recognition by the former metropolis of England. The state was already recognized by many other rulers, had formed authorities. The civil war was only a tough split between two groups: both in power and in the economy and civil society. This split was completely polar, and the parties could not find a common language. But no one even thought of surrendering the country’s independence entirely.
