Is the myth of the dying and coming to life Osiris related to natural phenomena in Egypt?

Many cities of Ancient Egypt were built close to the Nile River, because only there it was possible to grow crops in the conditions of the surrounding desert. The volume of the harvest depended on the flooding of the river (the more the flood, the more the harvest), which in the Egyptian religion was explained by the intrigues of the gods. The legend of the death and resurrection of Osiris echoed the periods of fertility and drought of the Nile, since it was customary to blame his “killer” – the desert god Seth for a bad harvest, while a good yield was explained by the return of Osiris from the world of the dead.
