Let’s deal with the phenomenon itself called “polar night”. This is a natural phenomenon, the manifestation of which is that the sun is not indicated over the horizon for at least a day. It can only be observed in uniquely defined geographic conditions. In the mountain tundra (it can be anywhere) there are no polar nights, unlike the usual tundra.
