Is there an interdependence of plant growth and development.

There is a relationship, both of these processes are the very essence of plant life. Plant growth allows the accumulation of nutrients for its development. However, these phenomena can be either parallel or follow one another. For example, germination from a seed – here both growth and development, of course. Moreover, it is very active. Or, when the plant grows throughout the summer, and blooms in September. Here, the processes are sequential – a period of active growth and accumulation of nutrients is followed by a period of development, a further stage of life – flowering.
