It is believed that Moscow architects of the 15th century are entirely Italians. Is this true?

Since ancient times, Italian craftsmen were famous for their great skill in the construction of castles, fortresses, therefore, after the overthrow of the Tatar-Mongol yoke and the increase in the power of the state, Tsar Ivan the Third began to invite architects from abroad. The Italians introduced new technologies and artistic techniques in construction: they brought to Russia a new building material – brick, the first brick factory was built by Aristotle Fioravanti. They supervise the construction of the Archangel and Assumption Cathedrals in the Moscow Kremlin, architects Ruffo and Solari – the first architect of Moscow – build the Faceted Chamber, Borovitskaya, Senate and other towers, the Tainitskaya Tower was founded by Anton Fryazin (Antonio Gilardi).

During the construction, Italian architects took into account the originality, customs, tastes, and architectural features of the Russian people.
